Meet American Internet Personality Tana Mongeau

Tana Marie Mongeau, the American Internet personality, musician, and model, is also known for her "story time" videos and similar comedy videos on Youtube. 

Born in Las Vegas. Marie's known for 'Minute Match-Ups' (2015), 'Escape the Night' (2016) and 'Merry Christmas' from Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau (2018)

Tana is now a popular YouTube content creator who discusses isolated instances from her personal life as well as her personality quirks with her subscribers on her self-titled channel.

Mongeau's YouTube channel earned over 5 million subscribers in 2018, she launched her conference called TanaCon to rival VidCon, but it was shut down on its first day and canceled.

Getting with the Clout

Tana Mongeau is a YouTuber and singer. Tana's career kickstarted with her "storytime" YouTube videos all about her crazy life. She then moved onto music, and soon she'll add reality TV star to her already extensive CV.

Mongeau's debut single, "Hefner," was released in November 2017, the music video featured Bella Thorne who she reportedly dated. That same month, Mongeau was featured on an episode of Maury. 

Mongeau collaborated with Lil Phag and Dr. Woke on a song titled "Deadahh" that was released on December 15, 2017. She released her second solo single, "W", on March 1, 2018. Her third solo single, "F**k Up", was released on August 31, 2018.

TanaCon Disaster

Mongeau announced on May 26, 2018, that she would be hosting her convention, titled TanaCon, at the same time and in the same city as Vidcon 2018.

Mongeau intended TanaCon to be an alternative to VidCon after the VidCon 2017 organizers failed to give Mongeau the rights at the convention of a "featured creator".

TanaCon took place in Anaheim, California, at the Anaheim Marriott Suites, on June 22, 2018, and was canceled the same day. Over 80 creators were set to hold panels at the event, including Bella Thorne, Shane Dawson, Casey Neistat, Miranda Sings, Ricky Dillon, Elijah Daniel, Jenn McAllister, Gabbie Hanna, Trevor Moran, Lisa Schwartz, and Jack Baran.

4,000 to 5,000 people attended at most, and the Marriott was not capable of holding even that many people. Those who attended or lined up to attend complained of a lack of food and water and standing for hours in the sun.

It was reported that many people were sunburned and that some people passed out because of the heat. Because of the disastrous management, the youtuber was heavily criticized.

Dawson said that agreeing to appear at TanaCon was the "worst decision he ever made.

Tana's Net Worth

If nothing Tana is an expert in creating headlines. She recently broke the internet when she announced her engagement to fellow YouTuber, Jake Paul, and that's not the first time who she's dating has made headlines.

She's already had a couple of high-profile relationships, including one with singer, Bella Thorne, and another with rapper, Lil Xan.

And the whole TanaCon drama that happened in 2018 only made her popularity grow. Not only headlines, the youtuber knows how to make her money too. Her net worth is estimated at $4 million.

Tana makes a big chunk of her money from her YouTube channel. Since she first created the channel in 2015, she's created a fan base of more than 4.5 million subscribers. Social Blade estimates that she makes anywhere between $8,900 and $141,900 a month.

Including other endorsements on Instagram with 4 million followers. She also knows about her brand, so she's built a merch line that allows people to buy into it.

Her merch includes thongs that say "Scandalous," a cup that says, "Tana is my daddy," and a hoodie that reads "Cancelled." Which adds more money in her bank account.

Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul Relationship 

Tana Mongeau was previously dating Brad Sousa, which ended up badly with Tana getting cheated on and hurt by Brad. That In April 2019, Tana Mongeau, 21, and Jake Paul, 22, started spending a lot of time together, but nobody could work out if their relationship were real or if it was all for show.

It all got even more complicated when Paul proposed to Mongeau on June 24 at her 21st birthday party, resulting in an over-the-top wedding ceremony in July. However, this was not a healthy marriage; both the partners hinted how they had an 'open relationship.'

What fans didn't know was the dark side of Jana's marriage. The pair tied the knot back in July in Las Vegas in a non-legally binding wedding, which is probably for the best considering Tana, 21, and Jake, 22, have split just days into 2020.

Tana announced the break-up on her Instagram account, sharing a selfie with her husband and their dog, Thor.

Tana gave some insight as to what went wrong in a video called "The Truth about everything," which she uploaded o her Youtube. She revealed that things had changed drastically between them after they got married.

"The second Jake and I got married, I feel like everything changed. I don't blame Jake; I think that the second he said, 'I do' to me, he kind of mentally was just like, 'Now what?' I think he mentally was over it.

I don't blame him, but it left me clinging, trying to make this work," she explained. After that, Tana admitted that things were never the same between them.

"We spent all this time trying so hard to get back to where we were before the wedding, but it's like, what's broken can't un-break. You can't undo what's already done. Once that feeling was different, I feel like he began to put one foot out the door,"

Tana explained how she tried to make things okay by just trying to keep Jake happy in whatever he says. Tana in her video said, "I was not okay with the 'open relationship' thing you know, but I did it because I wanted to be that cool girlfriend for Jake different from everything he had before; I didn't want to be anything like his past." 

Also, the fact that Jake Paul started to hang out with his ex-girlfriend Erika Costel broke Tana completely as she explained.

'MTV No Filter: Tana Turns 21'

Tana Mongeau is officially coming back to MTV for a second season of "No Filter," which the network tells Insider will debut on its YouTube channel in February 2020. 

The second season is to be called "Here Comes Tana Claus," where the YouTuber, her manager Jordan Worona, and her best friends all reappear.

For the new season of "No Filter," Mongeau told Insider:

I'm so excited to bring people back into my world for Season 2, which will be all about dealing with my changing friendships and crazy family life. 

Mongeau added, "I'm pursuing some exciting new business ventures and still learning how to be an adult while sharing my life in the spotlight."

The drama in "No Filter" played off Mongeau's real-life show. It gave an additional perspective on her relationship with Paul — which has unfolded across platforms.

Even though she admits to putting "99 percent" of her life on YouTube, Tana hopes that the series might give fans a behind the scenes look at what her life is like when she's not the one controlling the camera.

"I remember being like 13-years-old and literally when the Kardashians first aired, being like, 'I am made for that sh*t. Like I am made for reality TV,'" she says.
