Joe Swash's Trying to Win From Emotional Journey in "I'm a Celebrity" Sparks Controversy

Joe Swash, former EastEnders star and winner of the 2008 series of I'm a Celebrity, has been captivating audiences once again in the all-stars spin-off currently airing in South Africa. 

In a recent episode, Swash became emotional as he spoke about missing his wife Stacey Solomon and their children, revealing that he keeps thinking about home and doesn't know how to get rid of the feeling. Fans have been declaring him the winner of the show following the touching scene.

Swash's emotional journey took a turn when he revealed a hygiene habit that left viewers horrified. He admitted to wearing the same underwear for five days, sparking a wave of disgust on social media. 

Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan called it "pretty disgusting," while one viewer commented, "Me learning Joe Swash has worn the same underwear for 5 days in a row."

Despite the controversy, Swash has continued to win hearts with his kind gestures toward his fellow campmates. He stepped in to help fellow EastEnders star Dean Gaffney by giving him a shave, earning praise from viewers. 

Swash also revealed that if it wasn't for his experience in the Australian jungle, he would never have met his wife Stacey, who won the 2010 series of I'm a Celebrity.

The couple, who married in July 2022, have three children together. Swash told his campmates that he feels like he's the "biggest winner ever" from anyone who's done the show, as it gave him his wife, his kids, and a career for over a decade. 

He added, "I find it hard to talk about the jungle without getting emotional. You’re going to have to bear with me."

Swash's emotional journey in I'm a Celebrity has certainly been a rollercoaster, with touching moments and controversial revelations. But regardless of the outcome of the show, it's clear that he has won the hearts of viewers with his vulnerability, kindness, and dedication to his family.
