Meghan and John welcomed their first child, a son, in May 2018. The son's name has not been made public as the duo prefers to keep it private so far. 

In July 2019, Ory announced that she was expecting her second child, a daughter, in an interview with Parade. In October 2019, Meghan and her husband welcomed their second child and their first daughter. 

Meghan Ory stars as a divorced career woman named Abby O'Brien-Winters, with two young daughters in the 2016 Hallmark original series Chesapeake Shores.' Oftentimes, she makes comparisons between her character's mom and her own real life as a mom. Obviously, she draws a lot of contrast between the two.

'Well, it's a little bit different because Abby's girls are so much older than my nearly 2-year-old son, so we're in a little bit of a different place,' she says. 'I can tell you that the girls who play my television daughters are in love with my little boy, and they love to play with him and tickle him. They have lots of fun together when he comes to the set.'

But she also found a few similarities between Abby and herself. It was just before she gave birth to her daughter.

'My mom life is probably looking a little bit more like Abby in her Chesapeake Shores time rather than in her New York days,' she told Parade in August 2019. 'I love that Abby is taking the step to work a little bit less frantically and spend more time with her family. I think this was a really difficult and powerful choice for her to make and it's been interesting to see how that's evolved over the last four seasons and how she has adjusted and dealt with it.'
