Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney to Splash $35,000 as Their Philabundance Fundraiser Crosses the $50,000 Mark

They've done it! It's time for the 'Sunny' actors to splash their promised $35,000 as the 'Rob & Kaitlin McElhenney for Hunger Relief' fundraiser surpasses its $50,000 target.

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's star couple Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson first promised to match upto $25,000 of the raised amount on Friday and Sundar on their fundraising campaign, 'Rob & Kaitlin McElhenney for Hunger Relief'. But as they collected $15,000 before Sunday, they stretched the limit and promised to add $35,000 instead if it actually reaches the $50,000 target from donors besides themselves.

At the time of writing, the fundraiser for 'Philabundance', a food distributor organization in Philadelphia, has raised $50,900. And although the couple asked the $50,000 to be raised before Sunday ended, a few hours is considerable, right? Surely, a combined net worth of $50 million will be put to good use.

$5000 was the biggest donation there.

It's already enough that they are taking the initiative, amid and in response to all the CoronaVirus tension, any amount from them is completely acceptable. But we are confident they will be using the 'Sunny Money' for a good cause. Donors have come in all amounts, ranging from $5 to as much as $5,000.

'Philabundance' was started by Pamela Rainey Lawler in 1984 in order to get food to people who desperately need it throughout Philadelphia, and it's also a member of Feeding America, something the organization takes a huge pride in. In over 35+ years of its existence, the organization has operated in all sizes, serving as much as 24 million pounds of food a year to those in need.

Aside from requesting the TLOU series to be released soon, McElhenney announced his fundraising campaign on Twitter and then on Instagram on Friday, March 20, with a photo of them staying at home and drinking some...thing... Well, getting drunk and making the best out of a bad situation.

Olson updated her followers on that $35,000 thing on Sunday morning with a few thousand remaining. "This organization is doing amazing work to help feed people in need in a city that means so much to us. We know times are tough and people are scared. The $10 donations almost mean more to us than the bigger ones. We see you. And we are so grateful. ♥️," she wrote.
